Hi, my name is Danielle, and I'm about to go to college for Wine Marketing in upstate NY. I currently have a job working 4-8 hours and I give my whole 57 dollar paycheck to my boyfriend weekly to help him with rent, which he cannot carry on his own.
I am trying to raise money for school supplies, such as binder, notebooks, pens, and highlighters as well as a laptop to use for emailing professors and online coursework. One more thing I need but cannot afford is clothing for school. When I lost most of my hours at my job, because we live in a college down and all the students go home so most people lose hours, I sold a lot of my clothes to a consignment shop called Plato's Closet to help with living expenses. I want to look professional and clean cut to make friends. I also have very few bras and underwear, which seem to be so expensive.
This would not be an issue for most people, but my mother passed away 2006 and my father has been gone since before I was born. I have been declared legally independant since the age of 16 and have bounced around people's houses to keep a roof over my head. Please help me make this college experience a good one, I already tried to go to college once and did not have the proper supplies or transportation.
